Mycoplasma Broth

Description

This light to medium amber broth is prepared from PPLO broth. This broth has been formulated with inhibitors to discourage a variety of non-target organisms.  The broth is especially formulated to enhance the growth of Mycoplasma organisms directly from milk, while inhibiting environmental organisms that commonly appear in pooled samples. Mycoplasma broth can be used on individual cow milk samples but is especially useful for bulk tank milk or group samples. The use of this media will increase the ability to detect Mycoplasma in low count positive samples.
