The

All
UHS-6000 liners are vented and shielded. Teat
end impacts are the main mechanism by which
milking machines cause mastitis. The impacts
can literally shove bacteria backwards through
the teat canal and cause new mastitis cases.
This vent/shield system provides >90% reduction
in impacts to the teat end and it will completely
eliminate liner flooding. Dairymen will reliably
have fewer new infections caused by teat end
impacts with this safety system. |

Rubber
inflation surfaces rapidly deteriorate and
become cracked and harbor butterfat and bacteria
which increase mastitis risk. The medical
grade silicone in the UHS-6000 liner provides
a smooth milking surface that remains cleanable
and sanitizable for 6000 milkings. The triangular
design of the softer silicone plastic produces
a gentle massage that reduces rough calloused
teat ends. Damaged teat ends can occur with
harder round rubber liners that concentrate
compression force from two sides and essentially
“pinch” the teat during pulsation.

The
UHS-6000 liner seats lower on the teat during
attachment, facilitating a cleaner milk-out
and at the same time reducing the amount of
teat tissue that is exposed to vacuum. This
reduced exposure to vacuum will prevent teat
tissue strain or stretch. Larger bore liners
will actually cause pain in smaller healthy
teated cows (such as heifers), as the teat is
stretched under vacuum. Teat strain will cause
teats to enlarge during the life of the cow
as the tissue attempts to fill the larger liner
cavity. |
